Cement Type 1
The main work of this chemical substance, cement, is to create adhesion between other construction materials, but what type of cement is used in what works and in what areas has caused cement to be classified into different categories. The first category that has been introduced and is used more than any other type in Iran and even the whole world is type 1 cement, which is called ordinary Portland cement in construction industries and manufacturing plants. They remember This type of cement is widely used during concreting. Of course, the work of cement in concreting is to stick pebbles together in concrete. Type 1 cement or Portland cement is mostly used in dry and temperate regions. Of course, it should be noted that this cement can only be used in concretes where sulfates cannot be placed in the vicinity of concrete. In cases where the heat generated during the hydration of cement causes the temperature of the concrete to rise and lowers the quality of the resulting concrete, it is not permissible to use type 1 cement.
Cement Type 2
A type of cement that is mixed with Portland cement in the industry is type 2 cement, which is known among consumers as modified cement or medium heat cement. When this cement is used, it generates little heat during its hydration and does not cause problems in hot areas. Type 2 cement is one of the examples of cement that is resistant to salts and ions and can protect all the reinforcements used in the foundation of buildings from rust and corrosion. When modified cement or type 2 cement is mixed with water, it generates a little heat during chemical reactions, and these good advantages of this chemical have caused it to be used in areas where concrete production faces the problem of heat increase. and it is because of this property that type 2 cement is called medium heat cement. The setting, hardening and hardening of this type of cement is much slower than ordinary Portland cement, and it can be used a lot in cases where cement work needs to be done in a longer time. Among the cases where type 2 cement is widely used, we can mention bridge walls and foundation construction.
